Qualification: Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Rourkela.
His experience in ONGC over a period of 37 plus years includes Drilling & Exploration of shallow and deep wells both onshore and shallow water jack up rigs in offshore.
Was a member of ONGC Deep water development project in East Coast of India during concept stage.
While on deputation to Oil Industry Safety Directorate ,(a Safety arm of Ministry of Petroleum GOI)as Director (E & P), functioned as a regulator for Offshore activities in the country which included drilling rigs, FPSO, Platforms etc. overseeing private and PSU entities commissioning and decommissioning approvals for offshore projects, Safety Management in Onshore including framing of standards and implementation coordination with Director General Mines Safety and ember of Directors committee related to downstream oil and Gas standards.
Served as Executive Director ,Head Offshore Safety for ONGC and subsequently as Executive Director -Chief of HSE of ONGC .
